Fall 2021 Citywide Yard Tree Giveaway

Sunday, October 23, 2022, 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

American Swedish Museum (1900 Pattison Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19145)

Registration will close on Wednesday, October 12, 2022

TreePhilly is giving away free trees for Philadelphia residents to plant in your yard this spring. Trees are available for request while supplies last and pre-registration is required. By filling out this form, you are requesting up to two trees for your household.

If all trees from this giveaway have been claimed or you are interested in a specific kind of tree that is out of stock, you can be added to a waitlist or to request to be contacted when more trees become available in the spring. Fill out this form to be added to waitlist. Many trees can also be purchased from directly from local nurseries for less than $80. Go to our new guide to buying trees for more information.

Trees are available for Philadelphia residents only and must be planted in the ground (not in a pot) on private property in the city of Philadelphia. If you are looking to have a tree planted on the street (in the spot between the sidewalk and street), click here to sign up for a free street tree! Parks and Recreation will come inspect the site of your request within 7-10 business days; if the spot is suitable for a tree, they will follow-up with a letter then send a contractor to plant the tree in 6-18 months.

TreePhilly is a program of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation in partnership with the Fairmount Park Conservancy, sponsored by TD Bank.
